A fetal ultrasound (sonogram) is an imaging technique that uses sound waves to produce images of a fetus in the uterus. Fetal ultrasound images can help your health care provider evaluate your baby's growth and development and monitor your pregnancy.
Scans are performed by two experienced female radiologists, with a strong focus on women’s imaging, including obstetric and gynecological ultrasound.
Appointments required for specialized studies:
Most other ultrasounds (abdomen, pelvis, neck, breast, musculoskeletal, etc.) are available on a walk-in basis.
Scan duration may vary based on baby’s position, maternal body habitus, and visibility. The baby may not be in an ideal position during the first attempt; repeat views or re-evaluation may be required.
Follow preparation guidelines given at reception (e.g., full bladder for pelvic/early pregnancy scans). Bring previous scan reports for comparison and continuity of care.
